About

Lab-grade testing, built around real athletes.

Threshold Performance Lab is an endurance physiology testing service based in Perth, Western Australia. We measure what matters — and translate it into training you can act on tomorrow.

Most endurance athletes train on heart-rate zones inherited from a generic chart, or power numbers copied from a friend's plan. The result is workouts that look right on paper but never quite hit the system you're trying to train.

We exist to fix that. Threshold Performance Lab uses gold-standard lactate testing and INSCYD physiological modelling to give you the same quality of data that pro teams build their seasons around — delivered in plain language, with clear next steps.

We test runners, Hyrox athletes, cyclists and triathletes. Some are chasing a PB, some are chasing a podium, and some just want their training to finally make sense. Whichever you are, you'll leave with the numbers — and the plan to use them.

How we work

A small lab. A serious process.

  1. 01

    Intake

You complete a short athlete profile so we can tailor the protocol to your sport and goals.

  2. 02

    Test

Stepped lactate test in the lab — or a remote field protocol for INSCYD-only clients.

  3. 03

    Follow-up

Once your report is reviewed and prepared, we book a follow-up phone call to walk you through your zones and exactly what to train next.
